IT Technical Writer and Trainer

• Develop and maintain a wide range of IT documentation and procedures, including system manuals, user guides, knowledge articles, and standard operating procedures, ensuring consistency and clarity across all materials.
• Design and deliver engaging training programs tailored to different audiences, including IT staff, end-users, and clients, using a variety of formats and platforms (e.g., in-person, e-learning, video tutorials).
• Work closely with IT teams to gather technical content, translate it into understandable language, and standardize documentation practices across the organization.
• Continuously assess and update existing materials based on new software releases, user feedback, and evolving best practices.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance of technical information.
• Implement documentation and training metrics to evaluate effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
• Support the IT team in knowledge management initiatives, facilitating efficient information retrieval and ongoing learning within the organization.

• Relevant education and experience in Technical Writing, Instructional Design, IT, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in technical writing and training within an IT environment.
• Strong technical proficiency, with the ability to understand and explain complex IT concepts and processes.
• Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills, with attention to detail.
• Experience with documentation and e-learning software tools (e.g., MadCap Flare, Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline).
• Proven ability to design and implement effective training programs across various formats and platforms.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams, including technical experts and non-technical stakeholders.

• Certifications in technical writing, instructional design, or related areas.
• Knowledge of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
• Experience with knowledge management practices and tools.
• Familiarity with the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
