We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to work with our External team, responsible for all the user-facing systems our guests and internal team interface with. The team's directive is twofold:

• Build modern, performant and accessible web sites and applications to support the user journey from booking to checkout
• Create the tools for our distribution team to update and maintain information about our apartments

A few examples of what we've built so far:

• A website and booking engine using both static and server side rendering
• A progressive web application for our guests to manage their booking
• A check-in instruction framework capable of generating interactive, video-based and offline instructions for our guests
• An in-house component library documented in Storybook

Our Product amp; Engineering team is split between Hungary and San Francisco. Our engineers have diverse backgrounds in hospitality, consulting, real estate, and technology. Everyone joined Kasa because they are passionate about building a platform that delivers value to landlords and serves guests seeking trustworthy, well-priced accommodations in great locations. We run an agile 2-week sprint development process and consider a strong culture-add not just a fit, but a requirement. Our team is comprised of four pods:

1. SIP (Systems, Infrastructure, and Payments): building the data and financial platform to power our operations amp; technology at scale
2. Kontrol: building an industry defining property management system
3. External: creating seamless digital experiences for guests
4. Access and IoT: enabling stress-free check-ins and comfortable stays to with technology

Like any Software Engineer, there is no ‘typical day’. We like to sync every day with our San Francisco coworkers in the form of stand-ups or other agile ceremonies like grooming and planning. The rest of the day tends to be free-form and highly dependent on your responsibilities. You'll have your individual tasks as well as collaborate over Zoom with a team of designers, PMs, and engineers to solve complex business problems.

Overall, you are expected to uphold and improve on our high engineering standards. You will not only hone your software engineering skills, but also collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to understand business problems, gather requirements, and design technical solutions.
