Job Description

We are looking for the right people to join our well-funded, growing open-source startup and to help us to continue to build exciting technology that make our users happy. Right now we are looking for new additions to our Customer Care team working out of Budapest*. Who are you?

You love helping people get the most out of complex technologies. You enjoy explaining technical details to others and are self organized. Most importantly, you’re always interested in learning new technologies. Besides this, you have experience in administering and working with software solutions and systems running on Linux and/or Windows.

Knowledge of any of the following is a plus: SQL, LDAP, Active Directory, Tomcat, Kerberos, Docker, Kubernetes, HDFS, Hadoop, and cloud infrastructures (AWS, Azure, maybe even Google).

Excellent English skills - both written and verbal - are an absolute must. Some German would be nice but is not mandatory.

What’s the job?

In a nutshell: Solving technical challenges and communicating with customers and our development team. You will be supporting our users, customers and prospects, and also your colleagues. This primarily involves answering support tickets via our ticketing system and forum. You might have to get on a call to help solve problems, and may also have to build KNIME workflows here and there to help with troubleshooting (dont worry we’ll help you learn). You’ll take what you learn from all of this and feed that back to the development team so that we can keep creating cool software together. You will be working with the other support agents like Michael, Iris, Nick and Zack but also closely work together with our development team, like Thorsten, Bernd, and Roland.
