About the Opportunity

Dentons Europe is currently seeking a passionate Diversity and Inclusive (Damp;I) Coordinator to join the regional team and take ownership and coordination of some of the high profile Damp;I initiatives within the firm. Reporting directly to the Europe Director of Positive Impact (PI) you will be responsible for ensuring that the firm lives up to it's commitments to diversity and inclusion and to practice responsible business.

We are open for the successful candidate to be located in either of the following offices: Madrid, Spain; Warsaw, Poland; Prague, Czech Republic or Budapest, Hungary.

About the role

  • Develop and implement Damp;I policies; supporting the Director of Positive Impact and in collaboration with the Europe Damp;I Committee work on developing a comprehensive Dentons Europe Damp;I strategy and implementation plan(s)
  • Manage Europe Damp;I committee; ensure smooth, regular and productive functioning of the Committee (e.g. regular calls and agenda developments, follow up on all points, proactive approach; develop relationships with all Committee members, develop committee’s mission statement and annual plan)
  • Manage European Women’s Advancement Committee (EWAC) calls and progress; ensure implementation of Women’s Advancement (WA) Policy on regional and local level; lead on establishing country specific plans and infrastructure for strategy implementation
  • Working closely with our Talent, HR and Recruitment teams to ensure the implementation of the relevant Dentons policies, including but not limited to European Women’s Advancement Policy
  • Working closely with our Talent and Learning and Development teams to ensure that inclusion and diversity themes are included within our regional training programs
  • Working closely with our Marketing and Business Development and other business services functions to ensure that inclusion and diversity are taken into account in their work
  • Working with and supporting our Global and other Regions diversity-related committees
  • Running regional diversity programs and organizing diversity events e.g. in relation to International Women’s Day, Global Pride (IDAHOT) Day, etc.
  • Supporting local European offices to run inclusion and diversity programs and events to ensure close strategic alignment with Europe Damp;I approach and strategy
  • Providing direct support to line managers, partners and team members in ensuring the inclusion and diversity principles are taken into account in day to day work practices
  • Working with the Director for PI and the rest of the PI team to ensure close strategic alignment between pro bono, green, ESG and philanthropy.

About You

  • Relevant experience of and/or passion for the advancement of diversity and inclusion in the workplace
  • Advance Microsoft Office experience including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Excellent attention to detail with a high level of precision of data and accuracy in any deliverables
  • Ability to work and team in a virtual environment, across multiple countries, areas and cultures
  • Ability to set and revise objectives within the overall strategic framework of the Firm and the Positive Impact program
  • Ability to determine and focus on priorities and to monitor and evaluate the progress made towards achieving the objectives set, in cooperation with the members of the team
  • Ability to organise, assign and manage the work and to set challenging but realistic objectives
  • Ability to empower members of the larger firm / team while ensuring that they understand what is expected of them and how their work contributes to the objectives
  • Ability to build strong teams and relationships with peers and relevant committees’ members suited to the efficient pursuit of the objectives
